Antique Art Nouveau Repousse Woman And Flower 900 Silver Swiss Pocket Watch.

Stunning antique Art Nouveau 900 coin silver pocket watch manufactured in Switzerland with a repousse woman in the center of a flower on the back. She has 2 tiny green "stones" that are not actually real gemstones as they do not test for even glass on my presidium tester. I assume they're tiny paste rhinestones. The face of the watch feature red hour marks. The glass is cracked, as you can see in the photos.

Stamped on the inside of the back plate are several marks. The top, "CH", I believe, may represent the location of assay. A solitary "C" indicates La Chaux-de-Fonds. But I could be entirely wrong because the H is not mentioned at all as indicative of an assay office. The word Argent means "Silver" in French and is a primary language spoken in Switzerland. The "SWISS" stamp just below, indicates that it was made in Switzerland. There's also the bear stamp to the left, indicating that the case is .875 silver. The hallmark "0-900" is stamped below the larger bear and above the smaller bear as some countries recognize .875 silver as within the minimum requirement limit to mark an item as .900 or 90% silver (coin silver). This may be a mark made in a British assay office as it meets legal standards, or the Swiss manufacturer placed this stamp to have it assayed for this standard. There is also what looks like a crown stamped on the right which could indicate that the watch hands are 9ct gold. But this is simply a guess as I do not want to attempt to open the face in order to test the hands.

The mechanism of the watch is quite beautiful. It's stamped with the Swiss cross and the numbers 17592. I'm uncertain of the functionality of the watch as it has not been wound.

From the top of the bail to the bottom of the watch is about 3 3/4" and approximately 2 3/4" wide.

This is a stunning pocket watch and would love to see this restored but would be just as nice to have added to a collection as is.
