Beautiful antique Cylindre 10 Rubis open face pocket watch. The case is made of .800 silver. It features a porcelain face with roman numeral hour marks. The dials are rose gold with a seconds hand at the bottom of the dial. The back features a beautiful etched floral design with a smooth center for an engraving or small monogram. This watch is not engraved. The back case opens to the mechanism cover. The inside of the case is stamped with a crescent moon and crown mark. Upon researching, this likely indicates a German origin. There's also a Swiss assay mark of a grouse indicating that the case is comprised of .800 silver. The center mark is A 0,800 J in an elongated oval. Below those marks is the number 54550. The cover appears to be made of brass and stamped "Cylindre 10 Rubis". It opens to the movement and the inside is stamped A Metal J in an elongated oval, which indicates that it's base metal.
The case width is 46.3mm.
