This is an antique French luncheon plate from the 19th century, believed to originate from Limoges, France. The plate is hand-painted with a floral pattern and a red and gold leaf border. It is made of porcelain and has a glossy finish. The plate measures 8 1/8 inches in diameter and is a part of the Victorian era. It is an original piece and not a licensed reproduction. The plate is ideal for all occasions and requires hand wash only.
There's a triangle shaped chip in the edge of the plate and a crack that leads away from it about 1 1/2" towards the center of the plate. The plate is unmarked, but the stunning hand-painted flowers resemble some of the most beautiful french pieces of the Victorian era. The origin is merely a guess.
