Antique French Hand Painted Bird in Tree Silk Fan Framed In Shadowbox.
Stunning antique French ladies hand fan with a hand painted scene of a bird on a tree with flowers. The guards and monture look to possibly be made of bone. The loop has a white tassel for decoration. There seems to be some very slight separation of the leaf and ribs near the middle of the fan. The fan is in overall great condition. The frame is a filigree decorated cherrywood stain measuring 27 7/8" x 15 7/8". The fan was likely framed within the last few decades by Fulton Art & Framing. The glass of the shadowbox is made of TruGuard UV protected glass. The TruGuard sticker and Fulton Art & Framing sticker are on the back. Has wire and hardware for hanging. The back is slightly pushed in and it caused a bump on the inside of the frame.
