Vintage Northwood Intaglio Custard Glass Dish Set. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Gorgeous vintage Northwood Intaglio Custard glass bowl set. The intaglio pattern was first introduced in 1899. Each piece is adorned with raised blue painted floral sprays and gold gilt wells (intaglio). This set includes a large serving bowl (6" tall), a spouted cup with handle(5" tall), a tall cup/bowl(4.75" tall), similar lidded cup/bowl (including lid- 7.25" tall), and 5 berry bowls (3" tall).
The pieces are in good condition with some wearing of the gilt and paint. Much of the gold gilt on the rims of the pieces are worn. There's one berry bowl that appears to have a section of the "foot" broken off and glued back on in an attept to repair it. The glue holds, but would do well to have a second, proper, repair. The tall cup also has some cracking at the base where the "foot" begins. The same type of cracking can be found on the spouted cup with handle, but instead, at the base of the cup. After inspecting, the aforementioned are the only cracks I've seen in all the pieces.
Extra care will be taken to package these pieces prior to shipping to try and protect the existing cracks.
